These are good earthquake straps. NIce quality with heavy hardware. Be aware that you may have to shorten them on your install, so you'll need some way to cut them. I used sheet metal sheers which worked perfectly. Other straps I've used have multiple mounting holes to accommodate differing needs. These have only one hole at the end of the strap, so you will likely have to drill other mounting holes. Metal drill bit worked fine. Good straps at a very fair price. Much cheaper than most others I looked at. Well worth it, but you'll have to do a little extra work to make these fit your installation.

for a corner mount is good, for a full wrap on 30 gal. water heater will require 2 kits with 2 leftover straps

Took a few hours to set this up, I'd recommend another slightly more expensive option that's easier to install. However, now that it's up we've made our water heater earthquake proof.

Just a horrible inexpensive product that did NOT reflect the listing at all. Sent pictures, was not like the listing, straps were shorter than listed, no ENGLISH instructions! Pretty much if you are not very mechanically inclined or can work off of "Pictograms", would NOT recommend to anyone. They are installed but failed city inspection as the requirements calls for 2" straps (these straps were 1 1/4"), but at least I know it's safe and installed correctly. Next time will just pay a few dollars more and get the right stuff at the brick-and-mortar store!!

It said 132" per strap but it really is 4 straps each 48" long. (3.5 feet with 0.5 foot folded back, see my picture). This will NOT allow the strap to encircle the water heater as shown in the Amazon photo. Look at my photo and you what it really looks like -- it is only a front of the heater type of strap. My 40 gal heater is about 1.5 foot diameter which would take 4.7 feet of length just to get around it. It is a heavy duty strap, 1.25" wide, but it is not long enough to encircle the tank as my local code requires. Also incorrect is the Amazon picture that shows metal spacer blocks meant to put between the tank and the wall -- these are NOT there -- nor was it possible to use them unless the strap encircled the tank. The instructions are only in French. The bolts and screws look fine. The Amazon pictures must be for a different model.
