Simple and Smart - Magnetic Mount Magnetic Adhesive Pads for smoke detectors
The mounting of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors is not only complicated but can get danger-ous quickly because of the wires in the ceiling. This smoke detector magnetic fixing eliminates this risk and saves you time during installation.
The mounting is done without the need for tools and without drilling. Make sure it is attached to a stable, dry, dust and grease-free area.
Universal Magnetic Holders for Common Smoke Detectors with Different Base Diameters
The back is magnetic and suitable for all common fire detectors and smoke alarms with a base diameter of at least 1,97Inch = 1,97Inch magnetic holder or a base diameter of 2,76Inch = 2,76Inch magnetic holder.
The contact surface between the base and the adhesive surface of the magnetic holder should be sufficiently large. Some smoke detectors and wireless smoke alarms have large cutouts or uneven surfaces that can reduce the contact surface. A weak connection occurs when the weight

Mounting without drilling
Step 1
Clean the mounting point on the ceiling. Please use only alcohol to clean the surface, do not use soap or cleaning agents containing soap.
Step 2
Attach the support plate to the intended location on the ceiling and press firmly for 10 seconds.
Step 3
Clean the back of the smoke detector and press it firmly for 10 seconds as well.
Step 4
Wait twenty-four hours and the smoke detector can now be installed by placing it directly on the support plate.

Easier for me to peel and stick than to drill and screw, and motivated me to install much-needed smoke detector units. Simple: mark the location, wipe the surface clean, peel, stick and hold the flat plate on the mounting surface (I press for 60 seconds). Peel and stick the other side (the one with the magnets) on the bottom of the smoke detector mounting bracket - the bracket can be attached to the unit, or not, but would have greater strength while you press down, if attached; hold for at least 10 seconds, per directions (I hold a bit longer and make sure there is even pressure all around). WAIT 24 HOURS. Install the smoke detector, magnet to plate. Center as necessary. Easy.I've had 7 installed for several weeks now, and have pulled a couple down and put back up. No problems, no lack of adhesion. Just slide the unit and it comes right off the metal plate if need be. Re-position the unit however you like if a side "looks" better than another, make the test button more accessible, etc. I'm a believer. They work.One caveat: take a look at the configuration of your unit to ensure that if there is a battery to be replaced, the enclosure will still be accessible with a flat plate glued to the bottom of the mounting bracket. Many are sealed now but not always. (Clearly these are for battery-powered only, units.)

This is so much better than drilling holes to install a smoke alarm. Makes taking it down a snap. Very secure.

These Magnetic Adhesive Pads made it super simple to put up our new smoke detectors. And they also will make it super simple whenever the batteries will need to be replaced. Just grab the smoke detector off the wall, replace the batteries, and then pop the detectors back on the other magnetic pad.I did leave off one star, only because if we ever decide we want to put the detectors in another location, getting the pad that is stuck to the wall "unstuck" could be an issue and will probably take some paint with it. IT's too bad they couldn't have made these pads with some kind of removable adhesive like those Command strips have.Other than that minor issue, I love these magnetic pads!

I followed the video, clean spot first, apply mount to wall (pressed and held down for 1 minutes), leave for 24 hours, then can mount the smoke alarm part.The alarms where you twist the bracket to activate them will only work with these mounts by not including the bracket (makes it too tall for the magnet to snap onto the wall mount).

Magnets are quite strong. BUT, the adhesive cover as it is being removed, often takes the adhesive with it.This render the magnetic plate useless. Even when I was extra careful, I still pulled off some adhesive with the protective layer.

These are reasonably priced and like that you get so many. There’s not much to say, these are smoke alarms, they look like every other one you may see or may not even notice.5 stars for it being exactly what I wanted, lots of smoke alarms to distribute around the house.

I didn't know this system existed but trying to put up a smoke alarm which required 101 Physics made me think it was worth a try. The kit comes in two self-adhesive metal disks, one of which has two strong magnets attached. Stick one to the wall and one to the unit and you have 100% success.

Estos imanes son geniales los he usado con detectores de humo, y un Tv Box Tanix TX6, se queda todo muy bien pegado, recomendables 100%. Te permite la comprobación de los detectores sin destornillar etc.... y llevarte el Tv Box y pegarlo en cualquier parte. Los detectores pesan 90 gramos y el Tv Box 200 gramos por si os sirve de ayuda. Un saludo.
