I have a number of chargers and tried this against one twice its size and this was about five times better. It was completely useful for charging my phone despite having the Sun at about a 30 to 40° angle in the sky. Easily fits in a small bag.

This solar charger is compact, lightweight, and easy to carry, making it a great companion for outdoor trips. The build quality feels sturdy, and the waterproof design is helpful for light exposure to the elements. I also liked the included carabiner—it’s convenient for attaching to a bag while on the go. It’s efficient at preventing battery drain, which can be a lifesaver in remote settings. However, the charging speed is painfully slow—it only boosted my battery by about 10% in two hours, and that’s under optimal conditions. You’ll need direct sunlight and constant adjustments to keep it effective, and even then, it’s not a match for traditional power sources. Plus, the limited weather resistance means it won’t hold up to heavy rain. A decent backup, but don’t expect miracles.

It does take a while to recharge your phone or device, but it does work. It works well for an emergency situation but you cannot use the device right away.

The four-panel, foldable solar charger has a compact size that can be toted around flat and unfolded to catch some rays to charge devices or batteries via USB-C or lightning. In my tests, I set the unfolded panels out in full sun and connected to my phone for about two hours. I only saw about a 10% increase in battery capacity over that time, and have to make adjustments about three times to keep the panels in the sun.10% capacity over that amount of time is not significant, but that was time that I was not losing capacity either. My phone did recognize turbo fast charging capabilities, though I attribute that to the USB charge cable. The cable is UCB-C with a connected lightning adapter for compatibility with older Apple devices. The USB port on the solar charger has a silicone plug, but it's only rated for the low IPX4 weather resistance. So, it can take a few splashes, but you'll want to steer clear of water in general. This really is tool that may only come in handy for hiking or camping or for emergencies when the power goes out. But, for reliable, consistent charging, you'll have to chase the sun and be prepared to wait for full charging. A carabiner is included to attach to a backpack for those hiking trips. You might get some use on road trips if you lay it flat on the dashboard in the sun. However, it's no match for plugging into a ready-to-go power source.

This little solar charger is exactly what I needed for camping and emergencies. It’s super compact and lightweight, making it easy to toss in a bag without adding bulk. Despite its small size, it’s surprisingly efficient at charging devices like my phone and small power banks. The build quality feels solid, and the waterproof design is a nice touch for outdoor use. It works as advertised and has been reliable in keeping my devices powered up while off the grid. If you're looking for a portable and effective solar charger, this one gets the job done!

For those of you who follow my reviews, you know I spend a fair amount of time out in the woods or on sites where easy access to power is an issue.I tested this panel to see how well it would charge a Samsung A-series phone. I had the phone on, Wi-fi on and bluetooth on. I was listening to a live podcast so the volume was also up.The weather is clear and sunny so I would have to believe that the panel was producing about as much power as was possible. The panel was able to keep the battery from further draining, even with all of the "accessories" running. The phone showed at current use, it was going to take 4 hours and 16 minutes to charge the phone from 68% to full.If I were in an actual emergency, I would shut everything off except the phone and let the panel do it's thing. So, I consider this panel a win and if you are looking for a small, lightweight folding solar panel, then give this one a serious look.
