Much heavier duty than i would have thought. I used this to hold cam sprockets on a 4 runner after replacing front seals so I could torque the bolts. It worked very well !!

Used it to hold camshaft gears on a 2004 Toyota 1MZ-FE. These gears had over 100 FT of torque. No problem at all with this, although I did add a cheater bar to make it easier.

Used a single time; one pull on the wrench to break the Harmonic Balancer / Crank Pulley nut loose and this tool snapped. Had to go get a name-brand version and it worked like a champ. For this one, Inside where the piece broke, it looks like cast-iron. Poor quality - save time and order the more expensive, high-quality tool and forego the issues.

Worked great on both cam pulleys on my 2003 Sienna 1MZ-FE. Access to the rear cam was tight, and I needed breaker bars but this tool was perfect and a great value.

Worked well for holding or rotating the cams on a Toyota 5vz-fe during timing belt job. When turning the cams though a compression stroke with the spark plugs still installed, the sudden release of pressure as the engine goes past TDC causes the cam sprockets to rotate fast and hit the prongs on this device pretty hard. Would be nice if those two prongs were padded. Otherwise, it's the right tool for the job.

Fit the camshaft pulley nicely on an 3rd generation 4Runner and held it in place for removal and helped me rotate the camshaft pulleys to get it all back to TDC.

I have so far used it twice, and so far no trouble. Looks to be well made. I think it's a good addition to your tool box if you do the work often.
