The Edelbrock Carburetor Spacer allows the spacing of carburetors above the intake flange to increase plenum area for more torque and horsepower. This wood carburetor includes heat-insulating phenolic fiber. It insulates and tunes your carburetor and manifolds power band. This spacer extends the length of the intake mixture column to improve air and fuel distribution. There are two different styles of spacers with distinctively different benefits. The open plenum design increases plenum volume for improved high RPM power and the open design increases the air and fuel mixture velocity for improved low-speed and mid-range torque. This high-tech, 4-hole wood carburetor spacer measures 0. 5 in thickness and can withstand extreme temperatures.

Very easy to install. Remove the carb (if you had studs before, replace them with the included studs), remove any gasket material, put the new gasket on, put on the spacer, put on the 2nd gasket and put the carb back, put the nuts on and you are done. I haven't gone on any long drives to see if it will help fuel boiling, but I did go on a 25 min drive and I had no issues. So I'm happy.

Wish it was cheaper, but it is of good quality and it helped with vapor lock. I would purchase it again.

This spacer solved my poor performance at stop lights and on hot days. The manifold below the spacer is hot to the touch and the carb is barely warm. This combined with fiberglass wrap for hte fuel line made a big difference

Installed this spacer on an Edelbrock 2701 intake manifold. Everything was well packaged and of good quality. The studs were the perfect length. Highly recommended.
