We love the two we bought. I bought two different brands.....one cheaper than the other. This product I am reviewing is the cheaper product. And though there are subtle differences between the two (this one seems a bit cheaper than the other......the Totally Bamboo Salt Cellar Bamboo Storage Box with Magnetic Swivel Lid, 6 Ounce Capacity)We don't see any problems with the magnetic contact not being strong enough like a number of other reviewers said, but I could see how if the magnet gets recessed too much during manufacturing, there might not be good enough contact to keep the lid from swinging open.But ours work perfectly, both brands. We use one for salt and the other for a miscellaneous use. They are both attractive and I would love to have many more (when I have a need for one).

It has a very strong built and makes cooking very convenient. Also, it’s a beautiful addition to the kitchen.

We had a ceramic container that had cracked. My son wanted to keep using it, but I explained the scenario of having ceramic bits mixed in our salt… Switched to this cool little gadget and we love it. Easy to open and close. Has a very smooth finish. And the opening is wide enough to dip your hands in to grab and sprinkle.

Works great! I use it as a sugar bowl in my desk at the office, since the kitchen seems to run out of sugar all the time!

Arrived broken. Side split completely through. That is not the lid showing loose in the photo, is the bottom that fell out as soon opened.
