This was a surprise for my 4 year old, and it got the reaction i was hoping for! He loves the process of preparing the ingredients and especially watching it pop. This is a great alternative to microwave popcorn, especially where carbs are a factor for my little one, who is diabetic. We've found 6 different flavors so far that we can shake on top of it (butter, ranch, cheddar, etc.), which is such a healthier option than the ones in the store. Most of the kernels pop each time we use it, and it's easier to clean than i thought it would be. Overall, we love it and it was well worth the money!

This popcorn maker is awesome. Definitely gave the retro theater look. My sons love watching the kernel pop. The bin is easy to clean due to it being removal. The heat pop a out 98% of the kernel. Very easy to to use and put together. The one thing I wish this is better is the hinge on the door. It looks and feel flimsy and can break but so far. It works and hasn't break yet.

So I bought this model again because we had what was basically the same unit for 8 years before the housing was too broken to continue using. We make a ton of popcorn for movie nights and kids parties so the maker is definitely getting a lot of use.This new one has only lasted three months. They added legs to this model which was probably the worst decision. They didn't make the base surrounding the legs any stronger. After using for a month or so, I noticed a crack starting to form around one of the legs. We use the machine a lot, but I am pretty careful when moving and storing it, so this is just a terrible design as the bottom is a brittle plastic. Another month passed and the crack around the leg was much worse even though I have been extra careful. It is still usable but probably not for long without some modifications.To make things worse, I have now found another crack around the handle for the door. We are using it about the same as the previous one and if anything, I have been more careful with this one and yet it is in much worse shape after just a few months. There is no way this one will be making jt 8 years and there is no way I'm going to pay for this cheaply made unit again which is a shame since the older one was so good.

So glad I did my research on popcorn machines prior to purchasing. This one had great reviews and it was my personal pick due to the lever on the side to dump the popcorn out from the outside of the machine. Has a removable and washable tray. Keeps the popcorn warm. We use all different brands of kernels from store brand to Orville. I have zero complaints about this thing. It gets used daily and has since my daughter opened it Christmas Day. Yes she asked for it for Christmas. Zero smells, zero burning—> that’s user error. My daughter is 9 and maneuvers it effortlessly. I’ve never even read the manual, she did lol. Follow the instructions and you’re good!

You get what you pay for. The logo and door are in the same side. I thought logo would be in front for display and door in back to grab popcorn but no but that's not my real issue. It doesn't pop half the kernels and I used the 'recommended' popcorn for this type of machine. It's very light for travel but plastic is flimsy. Price point is great but probably should have paid a bit more to get a better product.

I wasnt sure it was working properly as popcorn was bit chewy, seems to work better when putting more oil, i did follow the Orville kernel recommendation which is 2 tbsp (double what this machine recommends) and i think result was more crispy than chewy, ill comeback edit my comment if my satisfaction changes. I find it easy to clean. Portion is fine for a couple and a 3 yo. We do another batch if we want more. Its wasting considerable kernels but at least you should not burn a batch (which is a priority). The smaller amish popcorn turned out perfect too.
