- DIMENSION: Belt Blanks 8-9 oz (3.2mm-3.6mm) Thickness Weight. We have pre-cut belt sizes from 1/2" to 10" wide and 50" to 84" in Length.

Vegetable Tanned Leather
- Vegetable tanned leather refers to the tannage or method of tanning the cowhide into leather. It’s called “vegetable” because of the natural tannins used in the tanning process like tree bark. Vegetable tanning or veg tan as it’s sometimes called is one of the oldest methods of tanning known to man. It has literally been around for centuries. But less than 10% of the world's leather is tanned this way today.
- What makes vegetable tanning so unique is it can be used to make thicker leather and results in more body and character - perfect for bag making. Vegetable-tanned leather also tends to age better and develops a rich patina over time. And it has that awesome classic leather smell.
- ELW's vegetable tanned hides are selected for quality to avoid dirt, holes, bumps, and major scratches.
Quality Leather Hides
Minor Blemish or Natural Marks
Our full-grain leather cowhide is made from first-class cowhide. Since the leather is made of the least damaged skin, you will hardly find any blemishes, holes, and defects on the leather's surface. It has a vintage, aesthetic look to it. Note that natural leather hides will have some minor blemishes, ticks, scars, wrinkles but we try to minimize those issues.
No Cracks and Damaging
The tooling leather is thicker, more robust, and less prone to cracking and damage. The cowhide leather material is durable and lasts longer in comparison to the fabric. The leather has properties of repelling moisture, which also resists sun and heat damage, making it multi-functional.

The leather is good quality and easy to carve. Only minor issue is that the flesh side of the leather is rather rough at the beginning and end of the strip.

I’m sure the product is good, I’ve used them before. Problem is I never got the package. They say it was delivered to the office of my apartment but my apartment office doesn’t take deliveries, and the person that signed for it doesn’t work there.
