These Heptour Emergency whistles are just about what you'd expect from the pictures. They are a nice, sleek, light weight design. They don't have a mirror finish, it's a more a textured finish. Each one is like a "double whistle", and I'd guess that's for a significant increase in volume. They are way nicer than the orange plastic whistles I've received for free with camping gear or the metal barrel ones like my coach used to use. The aluminum is pretty thick, and I think it'd take a lot to damage one.Contents: I received two whistles with attached keychains (but I may buy small carabiners to replace them, that's just my preference) and two lanyards that I'm attaching to the keychain loops for now for wearing around my neck - there's a tiny hole to the side of each whistle to attach the lanyard to, also.These whistles should be good for attaching to keychains for walks, hanging on my packs when camping, and also wearing around the neck for hiking. I'll also use them to meet my requirements for an audible safety device when I go kayaking or take out a stand-up paddleboard.Hope this helps!

Really love the nice, shiny gold color; these look exactly as pictured. I was totally surprised when I blew into one of them for the first time—I cannot believe how loud they are! They make a dual-pitch sound that is sure to be heard from far away. These are great for survival situations or for alerting people to danger. I would highly recommend having one of these around the house, in your purse or backpack, on a keychain, or included with your survival gear for when you might need it. Excellent product!

These are good looking, sturdy, well finished emergency whistles. Attached easily to a backpack with the keyring and I wear one on a lanyard when trail running. They are loud without requiring a lot of breath support to generate a big noise. I encountered a stray, off leash dog on a trail run who locked eyes on me and started to close distance with a little growl during a recent trail run. A long, loud burst from this whistle was enough to send him scurrying back and he turned and ran. I hate to have to pepper spray an animal if I can just ward them away and this was perfect for that. No metal snags or rough spots and rather pleasant to the eye. I feel safer already.

I love that I can clip this whistle right on my key chain. We have our RV parked in rural Alaska so I have the second whistle on the lanyard that was included and just hang it by the door. I often take it with me if I need to walk around as a deterrent for black bears which tend to avoid people. If they can hear you coming they most often will head in the other direction.I also sometimes drive for delivery apps. Not noticing where I was delivering too I ended up in a more questionable part of town, that I would normally avoid. I had my whistle handy just in case I had an unwelcome encounter.
