took all of 10 minutes to install, shift pattern is really tight and positive and getting into reverse problems or hitting reverse downshifting are a thing of the past, worth every penny.

Installed in 5 minutes, which was a surprise since no instructions were included. I installed this on a rail buggy and there was no way to hold down the plastic cover, so I drilled 4 holes in the corners and used some zip ties through the shift box. This shifter looks nice and seems well built. The taller handle is easier to grab and works better for the configuration of my buggy. Hopefully this one won't come apart like the empi t-handle did.

I am a car guy from way back, including Bugs. The product still looks the same as it did years ago, however the quality is lacking. Due to no instructions I am sure these folks get a lot of returns. Feels a little cheaper than the old ones, China made I guess. I gave it a 3 star simply because it is not a plug and play item. You seriously have to reposition shifter over and over again to find all the gears. When I put it in I only had 3rd and 4th. As I moved the shifter location around I got 2nd. Then I moved around again and after 4 attempts I finally found 1st, but still no reverse. I moved it more and more and more and more and finally after loosing a few of the other gears a few times I found reverse. Finally after more than an hour, I had all the gears and locked it down. The trick to alignment is moving the shifter in the opposite direction of the gear location, you may have to move it forward and back or left to right but if you stay on it, you will get the hang of it and get it just right. There is minimal movement when aligning it up to get the gears, so a slight movement in any direction makes a difference. The results are worth the effort. The gears now change very smooth and easily found. The shifter has a very short throw and is bent to bring the shifter closer to you and sits to the right so it will no longer hit your leg. Overall I am happy with the purchase. I will update after a good run on it. So far just around the block a time or two.

Buen producto, buena calidad. Si la compras asegúrate de hacerle servicio a tu sistema de cambios, cruceta y buje( eso es por tu parte). Si es plug and play.
