Ice maker is working... making lots of ice. Installation was pretty easy. Be advised it does not come with instructions on installation or any adjustments that might need to be made. The price was very competitive. Fit into space perfectly.

I installed this icemaker on a Saturday morning, and it still wasn't working by Monday morning, so I started a return with Amazon for it. Woke up Tuesday morning to half a bucket of ice and the icemaker has been cranking out more all day. I was thrilled since I'm a 70-year-old single woman, and dreading having to perform the entire task all over again. Seems to be functioning fine now. Just hope it lasts. I installed it on a 10-year-old Frigidaire, part #FRS6R5ESBC. Don't know if that counts for anything. Good price and from what I read of reviews on other icemakers, they all seem to be troublesome. So, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed and happy now. The install was very easy. I just don't have much room in my side by side. Aside from that, it was a piece of cake.UPDATE 10/7/24 - machine has been running full blast and have a full bin of ice every day. It kicks out a new batch of ice about every 3 hours. EXCELLENT!

As another reviewer noted, the only negative is that it doesn't come with instructions but it is an easy install.1. Unplug the refrigerator. There is a heater on the bottom of the ice maker and you don't want to touch that when it's hot, so give it a few minutes to cool in case you caught it on its heat mode.2. Loosen the two screw that secure it to the side of the freezer. They're kind of hard to see. I used a mirror to help see these.3. Lift it free and you can get to the plug so you can remove it.4. Install the new in reverse order. Here is where instructions would really help: Before you install the new ice maker, pop the plastic cover off the front. There is a screw with a spring on it to adjust how much water goes into the tray. Turn the screw one way to add more water if the ice cubes are too small. Turn it the other way if it's adding too much water and overfilling the tray. It might take a couple of cycles to get it right. Then, pop the front cover back in place.

This is the 3rd brand of ice maker we have bought off Amazon. The 1st two broke within 1 month. This one has been doing great and makes ice fast. We are super impressed and have had it working for 3 months. So that's a win!

The old ice maker assembly had ice cubes in the tray that would never make it into the dispenser bucket - so, checked wiring, etc. The gears would move with force but not automatically - so, gear-motor had to be (and was) the problem. The unit arrived wrapped, clean, and new condition. This unit was an exact replacement except the wiring is longer and needed to be tucked in a fashion not to interfere the other components. Also, a metal stand-off bracket needed to be removed from the old unit to the new unit. Set the gap that controls the amount of water dispensed to be the same as the old one. Lastly, let the unit and freezer "freeze down to temp" overnight. There was ice the next morning! Discarded this ice just to be on the safe side and made sure the dispenser bucket was also clean. Unit has been making ice without a problem. I expect it to fill the ice bucket and stop making ice when full. Hope it lasts as long as the original unit that was just over 12 years old.

no me funciono, tuve que abrir completamente el flujo de agua para que llenara la maquina de hielo sinembargo la sobrellena y empieza a tirar agua. No es posible regular el flujo de llenado. No se si viene defectuosa o que es lo que esta pasando ya que lo intente muchas veces tratando de encontrar la regulacion correcta de agua pero solo manda la señan a la bomba cuando esta completamente abierto el flujo.
