If you are looking at this in consideration of purchasing, do it! I've used the old school style of T-post driver with 180* thin metal handles; both heavy 20 pounders and the lighter 8 and 12 pounders. I've also shamefully driven posts with a short ladder, sledgehammer and 2X4 block when no other options were available. All things being equal, this is the way to go. Cost-wise, there is little difference between this luxurious Insaga enhanced driver and the old-school all metal drivers. I use the term 'luxurious' sort of jokingly, but seriously, the handles on this Insaga driver make a world of difference. The slightly offset angle of the handles put your arms and shoulders slightly closer together allowing for more efficient driving but are still set far enough apart that it could be operated by two individuals if needed. Granted some of the old-school post drivers have this same angle of handles, but none of those drivers have thick rubber handles that fill your hands for a very comfortable grip. You don't even need gloves with this driver. If you are doing any serious amount of fencing, gloves are recommended, but if you're just out there driving a post or three, bare hands will not suffer in the least bit with this driver. As far as the weight (assuming you will only buy one driver) 12lbs is about as heavy as you'll need these days. The 20-pounder does occasionally come in handy for larger wooden posts and traditional forged t-posts. IÒ€ℒve noticed newer, lighter stamped T posts becoming more popular everywhere. The traditional forged T posts can still be purchased and recommended for very large farm stock, but the lighter stamped T posts seem to becoming more popular. The 20 pounder makes short work of forged posts, but the 12 pounder works too just with a few more hits and obviously would be the better choice for the stamped posts. This driver's weatherproof coating is as tough as any other I've seen on traditional drivers. I wouldn't call that part an upgrade, nor do I have much to say about the way the driver's cap is welded or ported. I can't see either being an issue long term. Your driver will get scratched and dinged and form a little rust here and there, but that just happens with tools like this. It's not made to ride in the front seat with you. It belongs in the bed of your truck, may get rained on, and really shouldn't be given that much thought other than pure utility. Just be aware that when the time comes, your hands, arms and shoulders will thank you for the upgrades that really didn't cost you much more than something you could pick up at the local feed store.Long term, my only concern is the rubber handles. Will the hold up to heavy use and sunlight degradation or dry rot? Only time will tell. Traditional drivers would not suffer this potential problem. However, I will take the obvious benefits now and deal with the potential problems later. Worse case, the rubber could eventually dry rot off, and the bare handles are no less comfortable than a traditional driver's thin bare metal handles.

I ordered this post driver, and itÒ€ℒs a solid tool for the job. The rubberized grips provide a much better, less-slip hold than my previous driver, which were slippery despite having welded grips. However, this one uses bolted-on grips, and while they feel sturdy, IÒ€ℒm curious how long the bolts will hold up with heavy use. I might need to rig a new bolt through them eventually, but so far, theyÒ€ℒre working fine. The 20lb weight is perfect for driving posts efficiently, and the reinforced construction makes it durable for a variety of tasks. The handles provide good comfort, and even though I thought the bolted grips might be an issue, theyÒ€ℒve performed well so far. If you're looking for a post driver that offers a firm grip and solid impact, this oneÒ€ℒs a good option. Just keep in mind that the bolted grips may need attention in the long run.5 star since handles are comfy and it seems solid enough, and I dont know that the bolts wont last. No reason to ding a star due to possible concerns. I'd prefer them welded on, but then again, maybe this way they can offer different styles of handles also.

This bad boy is gonna get it done. It feels good in my hands. It's fun to pound with it. It's very simple to use. The size is just right. Feels like a well made tool.

Setting metal fence posts has never been my favorite chose, especially given the tools that are typically used. The most common of these--the fence post driver--is basically a heavy piece of pipe with a capped end and a pair of welded handles made from bar steel or rebar. Does the job but tends to be hard on your hands. That's why I was interested in the Insaga Enhanced Post Driver offered through Amazon Vine. The driver arrived in a heavy, well-padded box--sensible, given the 20 pound weight. Out of the package, I was immediately impressed by its textured, ergonomically designed handles. The driver was far more comfortable to hold and move than other post drivers I've used. That translated into the post setting process. It's still a bear of a chore but far easier on my hands than I've experienced in the past.Overall, the Insaga Enhanced Post Driver is an excellent, well-designed tool. Highly recommended.

"This review is for Insaga Enhance Post Driver with Anti-Slip Handles 16LB T Post Driver, 17'' Fence Post Driver Post Pounder for Metal Fence Posts, T Posts, U-Channels, Inside Dia=4.7''This thing is heavy. I used it to drive a couple small stakes into the ground. It's very heavy and I couldn't imagine using it all day, but that's on me. It worked well for driving the stakes.NOTE: As an Amazon Vine reviewer, I receive this product without paying for it directly; however, I have to claim the full value of this product on my taxes as this counts as a taxable gift and I must pay taxes for the taxable value of this item."

This post diver tool is excellent. Very well made. Great handles for hand comfort and a secure grip. The reinforcement of the impact surface is very good. The size of the opening allows for bigger posts-thatÒ€ℒs good! My use is for metal/steel Γ’β‚¬ΛœtÒ€ℒ- bar posts. But others that fit the opening will also be easily driven into place. Very good. If youÒ€ℒre setting up boundary posts this tool is very well made and youÒ€ℒll be glad you have it to help get the job well done. VeryGood
