I didn't realize it, but I watch this guy on YT, lol.. Anyway, I am happy to see the product is coming from a name I think that I can trust. I mean, so far so good, this is not the first product that I've ordered from this brand. Seeds, the whole nine...That said, I think I am going to be the owner of another decent product from them/him. This heating pad is working nicely. The price is a bit higher than my others, however the quality is also better. It warms up faster than my others. It lays slightly flatter than the others, it is also a bit thinner. The material feels slightly different than the others, better. As of right now I absolutely recommend this product. I will warn of the price difference while also mentioning that I believe the quality to be better than the ones I have previously owned. Yes, I got multiple for just a few more dollars, and they work okay, they get the job done. But this product is simply better, so the choice is totally yours. You can shop, but if you want something slightly more premium, this is a good choice for sure! I am kind of tempted to replace my old ones, smh...

Lies flat, low electricity usage, keeps the growing medium warm. Temperature can be increased by adding a dome to the tray. For valuable seeds, adding a temperature controller with probe would be worthwhile. For colder areas, insulating the mat and covered tray with styrofoam could help a lot.Honestly though, for a single tray heat map with no temperature controller, the price seems on the high side.

My seeds love this mat. I need to order a couple more.

I really like the epic gardening brand, but this seems like a fairly standard heat mat. It works great and everythig, but I don't know what, besides the brand name, warrants the price.

It's nice to have a dependable seed starting mat to extend my gardening season. This mat holds a standard flat 10 by 20" that you find at most garden centers. I like that it has a recipe for seed starting mix, average days to germination for most common crops, and instructions for using the mat printed on the mat itself. I recommend holding on to the small box it comes in to store it away nicely in between seed starting seasons.

Looks just like the product photos. Seems sturdy. Mat is thinner than my other grow heat mats.Plugged it in, and checked it after 30 minutes - felt barely any heat. Left it going, and it got a little better after about an hour. Even after 2-1/2 hours, the mat was still not outputting much heat - certainly not enough to heat up seedling soil 10-20 degrees, as advertised. Then, I noticed from the product photos that the seedlings are set directly on the mat - no tray in between. All the grow pots I have used have a thin tray under the seedlings to capture water that may leak out drainage holes. Perhaps my mat’s temperature is so low because it isn’t designed to heat enough to emit through the tray - and in that case, would be useless to many gardeners, like me.

I have other seedling mats whose wires bulge out throughout the length of them, which can make small seed pots at risk of tipping over. This one actually lays truly flat. It doesn't have a temperature gauge, so whatever heat it puts out is what you are getting. If that turned out to be too hot you could definitely put a base of some kind under your seedlings. I sometimes use seedling mats for warming things like jars of kombucha and sourdough starter, and I think this will be handy for that.
