i used it to steam sweet potatoes for Christmas. The potatoes came out perfectly. Set up of the steamer was easy and clean up a breeze. It has been made to be sturdy so I believe it will serve my steamer needs very well for some time to come.

It looks like a really good steamer, so in that way, this seems like a good product. The reason for one star is that I was looking for a plastic-free steamer which this is not. I was not happy, because it does have plastic parts, that when heated, will out-gas onto the food. I bought this steamer with the idea that no plastics would come in contact with the food - especially when the plastic is getting hot. Food should never be prepared on heated plastics, because that's when plastic emits the most toxic compounds into the food.

I use this to steam vegetables and left-over rice. Quick and easy and food comes out great. Took a few tries to figure out the best timing, but the included booklet is helpful. Easy cleanup too.

Water indicator level not visible from outside of steamer. No rice attachment included. For the price wasn't worth it.

The whole point of purchasing this was because it was supposed to be stainless steel, not plastic. BUT it isn't ALL stainless. The part that regulates steam is plastic and there is a type of plastic 'collecting tray' that gathers steam as water, not sure of what the purpose is, but it is nearly impossible to remove this after cooking to drain and clean it. It is tight-fitting, no indents or anything to grab it with your fingers so you can't remove it without spilling the water all over. With plastic parts heating up and gassing out onto your food, the whole purpose of stainless is pointless. Plus, instructions say not to submerse the bottom water tank, just wipe it clean after use (it's not removable.) That's impossible because food stuffs fall into the water and cling to the tank, so it has to be scrubbed, but you risk damaging the unit as this has the power electric cord, etc. All in all, very poorly made, not worth the price, I definitely don't recommend this product at all.
