I was looking for some sort of protection for my charging cable head since I leave outside. I’ve had it for awhile now and I’m glad I got it. Protects it from dirt and rain water from affecting the head. Love it

I sometimes leave my Tesla cable outside because I can't open the area where the charger is at that moment. It works well for those moments. I surely doesn't take the place of security. Anyone can use it. This is not a lock, just a cover that does not allow debris and water from getting into your cable tip. I fully recommend this charger cover.

-needs a hook or Velcro for the cover to not slip down the cord while it’s plugged into my car. I use a zip tie to hold it in place.

Pretty easy to use, slips on and off nicely: just tight enough to seal, but not too tight to make installing/removing difficult. I did note with a recent rain that while plugged into the car with the cap in the unused hanging state the cap faces up in a way that it collects water; easy enough to dump it before placing the cap back on the charge cable. If the tether went into the side of the cap (right angle) then that problem wouldn't have shown up.

If you leave it hanging, water still gets in it as well as around the lip, and if it freezes it then doesn’t let the charger go into the car. It also seems like there should be a better way to attach it to the charger, it came with a zip tie. It does prevent dirt from blowing around into the charger though, so while you still might have to dry it out it at least isn’t getting dirty.

I got this charger port cover to use with my Tesla Mobile Charger that I have hanging in my garage. I didn’t read through the listing and assumed based on the first photo that the cover came in a pack of two, but it's actually only one. This cover itself is pretty basic and a bit overpriced. It's made of silicone and fits perfectly over my charger.
