I use this 30 Amp Dryer Y Splitter to allow plugging in my clothes dryer (14-30 plug) and Tera 16-amp portable electric vehicle charger (14-50 plug) to the same 220v receptacle without resorting to frequent plug/adapter swaps, which wears out the receptacle faster. I am careful not to operate the dryer and charger at the same time to avoid overloading my 30-amp 220v circuit. I like the slightly longer-than-usual length and bright green color of the splitter cord (which serves as a visual reminder that I cannot run the dryer while charging my car).

This Portvoi NEMA 14-30P to 14-50R adapter plug worked as anticipated to connect a NEMA 14-30P Female Dryer 240V 30AMP outlet to my EV Charger, which has a 14-50R male plug. During the hour I used it to charge my vehicle, the adapter didn’t heat up at any point.My only concern is that, although thoroughly molded, the generic "Electric cords can be dangerous" tag makes me concerned that it might not be a fully rated outdoor adapter as claimed in its online description.Overall, this adapter did the job I needed it to do. It will be handy to keep in the car for whenever I need it.

This is exactly what I needed to avoid having to install a new outlet in the garage. I will probably do that at some point, but this is a very economical quick fix, to an otherwise expensive problem.Solid durable construction. Allow friend to charge their electric vehicles from my dryer outlet. 30 amps is not as good as 50 amps for car charging. But it is good enough for overnight guests.
