The whole should be drilled deeper when you put the expanding Rich the top of the expanding mandrel it goes through the rivets would place them flush. Also there should be holes in the back of it with rubber plugs that could be removed in case you ever need to remove the faceThe quality is, great, I certainly do doubt if you’ll ever exceeded it rated strength if you do, you’ve got a bigger problem than what you know you do. I can’t imagine this not being able to do everything you need to; if I had to re-engineer it I would drill the holes deeper so when they expanding rivets are put in they are flush in the face and don’t stick out because the rivets mandrel will mushroom when you use a hammer tap them home.

I have two Factor 55 shackles. One Ultralink and a Flatlink E. I put a rope guard on each and think it's a nice add on. I like the finished look and the protection it offers.Install is easy and you just need something that can work as a punch and a hammer.

The pitchers shows a 2 flat links and with 1 with a gaurd. It is just deceiving. You think you are getting a flat link. Your not.. wont spend $150 for the link.. my winch rope has a steel cover.. this does nothing! PUT A PITURE OF JUST THE COVER..
