This heater is working well in my stock tank. It was easy to install, having no issues.

Love the product, so nice to have when pipes freeze to ensure having warm water for the horses in the barn. A little difficult in regards that it does leak, but I resolved this issue with flex seal.

I’ve always used these. Just a word of advice. These are the ones you want for the Rubbermaid tubs!! Now apparently they make two kinds. The universal ones do not work in the Rubbermaid tubs. Be sure to read the product and get the correct one before you buy. But these work great!!!

Just be careful to only place this beast in a large, deep trough because the heating element can get quite hot. My only concern would be if the water level became too low and the device was exposed, potentially causing an animal to burn itself. However, as long as you properly install it in a large deep trough and maintain the correct water levels, this device will definitely keep the ice at bay.As an added safety step, we typically keep it unplugged and only plug it in when the temperatures drop below freezing.

This fits a Rubbermaid tub very well. A word of caution is to not overtighten the locknut or you can pop off the threads. Luckily I was able to do it again and being I put the gaskets on the inside and outside it holds all the water in with basically a hand tightening.

It is just a agricultural tank heater. Nothing new. I'll have to replace this one in 2 1/2 to 3 years. I don't think any will last any longer.

These are the best in tank heaters for the Rubbermaid Poly Stock Tanks. We have been using them for years and to get a 2-pack was terrific as we usually change them every 2-3 years once they get calcium buildup (we have very hard water on the farm).

This is the second de-icer that I have purchased, the first has lasted four years and still going strong. The only bad thing I can say is the nut was cracked I did not notice until I tightened it (something felt off) that's when I noticed the crack lucky I could use the one from the plug. All-in-all very happy.

Love this. I seem to need to buy a new one every couple years as my horses are hard on them but totally worth it.
