I was absolutely floored when I came home for lunch and found a big box on my front doorstep. I only ordered it 2 days ago. That part really surprised me. Bring it inside was not too much of a challenge by myself. I knew it was going to be a little heavy. And it was packaged very nicely. Nothing was damaged at all. The instructions were as usual a little hard to make out from this type of product but I managed. I put it together in less than 45 minutes. By myself. It's not quite as sturdy as I was thinking it was going to be to be honest with you. The main disappointment is that the top of the butcher block is not actually butcher block but a look alike. The instructions tell you not to prepare food on it. But I do have a cutting board that I used on my previous kitchen bar so that's not a problem. It does go with my kitchen very well as the picture show. Overall I'm pleased

The pictures are just several problem areas, there are more. I was offered a compensation of less than $60 to keep it. I ONLY accepted because I am old and it would be difficult to box and return. Frustrated with the quality of the top, frustrated I have a cosmetically defective piece sitting in my house. It is not a cutting board. It imitates one.

I love this island! It is the perfect workhorse and absolutely beautiful. The baskets are deep and great for measuring cups and other baking tools.
