These filters work very well on my kitchen faucet. I get my drinking water from this faucet, and feel that I'm getting better, more pure water this way.

Filter had dirt come out when installed not drinking from this. Going back to pure filters

Filtering capacity for one filter is 3 months or 100 gallons. This comes packaged in a colorful consumer oriented box that includes diagrams for installation in a filter housing. I like that fact that the package lists the source of the carbon used in the filter as "Natural Coconut Shell Activated Carbon". I would be even happier if that coconut shell were organic. The box says this filter "removes limescale," "heavy metal [which ones?]", and "removes Chlorine."

These filters fit the faucet end Pur filter perfectly. I go by if it removes the sulfur smell from my water and this one does.I cannot drink my water without using a filter that removes that smell and I can tell by the smell when it needs replacing. These filters last about 3 months and are simple to replace. Screw off the top replace the filter and return the top. They replace just like the original pur filter and I cannot tell a difference in performance just price.

The filter is light. Not much filtering material inside. The first 30 seconds of use flushed out all of the active charcoal or filtering material. When I use filtered water, the stream shot out as if it was unfiltered. It also tastes like regular tap water.
