Well designed, pliable rubber like material, perfect fit.Getting the valve covers off is a different matter, but no fault against the gaskets.There are cheaper gaskets, but pay the extra money and do the job right and once.

Fit like OEM on a 1990 v1500 Suburban 5.7l 350 TBI. Stays in the valve cover while you install it so no need for any RTV, fixed my oil leak down the back of the engine. Gaskets were made in Mexico, not the USA which is why it's only 4/5.

I have used rubber gaskets before that had to be stretched and were hard to keep in place while installing. I can see some here had that issue. However on my 1999 Suburban 5.7, they fit perfectly with no stretch. They held into the valve covers plenty snug and allowed me to maneuver the things into place without falling out. The job is pretty easy once you know to remove the bolts/nuts from the AC compressor/power steering brackets and pull them forward.

Would have got a 5 but for a bit of damage to the package which had stretched one of the gaskets a bit. Not enough to not use it, but enough to lose a star here.
