This post driver is a single purpose tool that works great. I used it with standard u-post from one of the big box stores as part of a garden fence setup. It drives the post well and was easy to use. The more posts being installed, the better value. If you only have a few posts, using a tool you already have, like a heavy duty hammer, might make sense. But this post driver made shorter work than even my 3# sledge would have done.

This is a nice design but unfortunately it ends there. Driving my first t-post in soft soil the unit failed! Didn't even get to use the extension. Two of the four welds failed on the top and the thin metal plate was coming off and all bent up. Its a joke to have a 1/16-1/8" thick plate at the top of something pounding steel posts.

This is so much better than using a sledgehammer when putting in t-posts for our upcoming chicken area. At 11 pounds, it has enough weight to drive posts effectively while still being manageable to lift repeatedly. I think too many people make the mistake of getting a 20+ lb post driver for standard t and u-posts. It's just not necessary unless you really want the extra workout. The two-piece design with screw-together assembly is clever for transport and feels solid once tightened. The tubing has nice thick walls and the black powder coating is as good as any other tools I own. The handles are well-placed and comfortable, though you definitely want to wear gloves for extended use.

This is not safe, I hate to say that but as you can see the end didn’t hold. I was using it for metal fence post and I was worried it would do this so I used it lightly. If they can better reinforce the ends, it would be a sold tool to have.

I've always wanted one of these. This post driver is perfectly sized for one use. We're using it for metal "T" posts as well as smaller wooden stakes. The driver is a perfect weight and height. It's obviously easy to use (even my 12 year old daughter used it), and works incredibly well. The quality of the item itself is great; welding seams look great, and threads where it screws together are smooth. The two pieces screwed together smoothly.

Says 11lbs. Feels more like 20!2-piece assembly goes together just fine.Nothing too fancy here, just solid post driver!

Absolutely no good! Broke after about 2 hits on a tpost. Broke several welds! Got a refund

This is a great pounder at a great price, and the screw together option is genius. This allows you to store or transport the pounder in a reduced space. The impact is as expected, the ergonomics of the handles are just right. Always wear gloves to reduce impact to your hands. This thing will drive small posts all day long.

Terrible product - broke on the first couple of bangs! Very cheaply made, don't waste your money
