This post driver is very effective at helping hammer fence posts into the ground but it is also a workout. This post driver is heavy, just to lift it up is already some weight training, now add lifting it above your head almost and let it drop onto a post and you have a lot of force. Partly thanks to gravity, partly thanks to the weight of it, make sure no animals or kids are nearby when using it just to be safe.It works really well, but if you are not strong you may well struggle with handling it. It is made of heavy steel, welded together and painted a good looking bright red. The paint will start to chip off as you use it, so don't expect it to look this good for long. With this post driver my contractor was able to get all the fence posts into the ground in a few hours, faster than if he had used a hammer.This is a very effective tool, just make sure you have help when using it unless you are very strong. Also be aware it can strain your back when lifting it up to hammer in a post. You may want to wear a back brace for some extra support. My contractor did that and said the next day that he was not sore from it, so useful tip when using it.

The HANXER fence post driver is solid and HEAVY. Lifting it up and down to drive the t-posts to the ground is quite a workout but it is a great tool to help speed up the installation of fence posts. The price is reasonable. Recommend.

Overall, we liked this. It worked to drive t-posts into compacted clay soil much more safely than anything else we've tried over the years. The major downside was the noise! Because the tube is hollow and wraps around the post it is driving, it echoes, and the volume of each blow was loud enough that I ended up getting out ear protection headphones after the first post. I'm not really sure how that could be averted, though. You can't cushion the top, that's where the weight is. Maybe something could have been done to cushion/dampen sound on the sides? I think it's just the nature of the beast, unfortunately. It does drive posts in well, though, and much more safely than a sledgehammer, as the design makes it impossible to miss the way hammers regularly do.

It’s a nice post driver. It’s got good weight and is easy to handle. The coating is good and it appears to be assembled well. The welds are clean and not all crappy. Should last a long time!

Impressive eighteen pound post driver at a great price. The heavy duty driver is a much safer way to drive in posts than with a hammer. Very sturdy construction with large enough handles to accommodate gloved hands.
