Sure its a T-post puller but this thing was cheap and looked simple so I figured it would be really rugged. And it is.I needed a ground post puller and the base was much too tall so I fabricated a shorter base and attached the arm with the jaw onto the much shorter base. It took a bit of doing to grab a smooth round posts (ground posts for cold frame used in farming). We figured that the posts needed around 1500lb of pull force to come out because we used a cheater bar onto the arm of this thing. Was worried about the pins handling the force but after pulling out 132 posts out of the ground, its no worse for wear. Cheater bar was 1-1/2" diameter steel rod (not mild steel) and over 4 feet in length. Oh we also had to shim the jaw with 1/4" thick angle iron and the angle iron on the 90degree bend got bent. Shim was needed to get the jaw to get a grip on the smooth posts. We also used it to pull out t-posts. Piece of cake!!love it when it does what it says.

This is a very simple very tough well-built tool. It is welded from sturdy square tubing. You just have to put one pin in to assemble it. The welding is reinforced as it should be. This is a great product. I took it out of the box , put the jaw onto the tool with a pin and a retaining clip and pulled three posts within 15 minutes. I came across one post that was evidently grown into a route near a tree. Though the pole did not pull it out I put tremendous weight on the puller. What's the square to welding that they did gives it the stability that it needs to handle that kind of stress. Get shipped from a nearby city in Minnesota. I think it might be made there. Buy this product.

Used it to pull up tree stakes. They were set at an angle so it made it very difficult to adjust and pull. A couple of the stakes were bent under the ground so that was another issue. If the stakes are straight and sit vertically it would have been a breeze. Also if the main body of the tool was shorter it would have been MUCH easier for my situation. But I used it and so far two neighbors have used it. Cheaper than hiring someone to do it. Just a little time and lots of muscle in my case. You can use this! I promise it's a great tool. I’m a woman in my mid 60s and if I can do it so can you. Very sturdy tool.

This is basically a lever on a fulcrum with a plate that grabs T-posts. I built one years ago, but misplaced it. For $50 it saved me significant cutting, grinding and welding. It is thinner tube steel, so the unit is fairly light weight, but I pulled out posts that were three feet in the ground with minimal effort and no stress to the unit. Picked the unit up with one hand and moved it to the next post. It is fast too. Once you set the jaws on a post, resetting them requires simply lifting the lever. The jaws slide down the post until you apply upward pressure, locking them onto a nub. It took 3-4 resets on the deep posts, but I still pulled them out in about 10 seconds each.

Works very well and has held up nicely. Pulled around 50 posts in total. Takes about 30 seconds per post. Wear good gloves as there is a finger pinch point. 5 stars.

This tool is tough! And perfect for pulling T-posts.So far I've pulled ten. On the first one I got the feel of the tool. After that it was pretty easy going. Some of the posts struggled to stay earthbound, but resistance was futile. The tool is very well built. I think it will outlast the T-posts.BTW - this is the right tool for pulling T-posts. It's probably the wrong tool for pulling other things.

This thing does what it is supposed to which is pull up t-posts. Mine were driven pretty far in the rock hard OK clay and without having to get the ground wet or anything, this tool pulled them right up. Very impressed and the build quality seems too notch. It's made from what looks like pretty thick steel. I haven't used it on more than 2 so far, but it seems like it will last for a pretty long time regardless of how much you use it.

This tools is well built and can take the punishment of pulling the t-post out of the ground. I found that it very important to have the T-post puller on level ground and as close to the post as possible. It was necessary to use a 4' metal pole for additional leverage on stubborn posts. All in all, I don't think you can break this green color T-post puller and it is easier than other hand methods to get the posts out. I wish I had it years earlier.

After completing thorough research for a T-Post Puller, this product is by far the best option. My father had many T-Posts to remove and this was a lifesaver. Similar products at local stores were significantly more expensive and poorly rated. Highly recommend!

Not tough enough for the jobs we had to do - foot kept sinking into the earth and contraption would fall sideways as it could not pull the T Posts
