Got this to replace the white plastic pick guard on a Pbass. It fit tight but I managed to scrape off a bit of the aluminum around the neck shaped section using a small pen knife and carefully shaving a fraction at a time then rechecking till fit. It looks fantastic - the anodized gold instead of the stock white pick guard is so much better looking. Also, the screw holes do not exactly match up so i had to fill a couple with toothpicks and super glue gel and also had to drill two new holes. STill - it was worth it. Looks almost like a brand new bass. Nice upgrade.

Stock Fender replacement for57 reissue, fits American Standard Precision with no modification. All screw holes aligned with current holes except one hole under volume controle that is VERY close to the edge of the routing underneath. Depending upon manufacturing differences from year to year, you may have to drill a pilot hole for this screw or use a dowel if there is no wood underneath. An excellent product, I highly recommend if you want that 1950s look.

I love the look of the aluminum anodized PG, but am finding the feel against my fingernails is like that of a chalkboard. eek. I'm tempted to hit it with a coat of flat clear lacquer but don't want to change the look.Update: I've had it on the bass for quite a while and still like it. I did spray it with clear satin poly quite a while ago, and it totally solved the chalk board feel. The gold color darkened just slightly, but it still looks great.

Tight fit on my ‘99 p bass, but worth the effort. Looks so much better than the stock pickguard. Gives the bass a classic Jamerson vibe.

Good product, but doesn't fit exactly on my Mexican p-bass. One screw hole is not aligned.
