If you are seeking a high quality air filter for your residential heating/AC system then this is the best choice. When Covid 19 became a problem, I was looking for a filter that could screen out finer particles in hopes of having cleaner air in my home. After doing some on line research I settled on this product because it is made by a reputable company, (3M) and It also is effective at removing cooking odors and other smells. it offers the best balance of removing all sizes of particles in all categories including viruses. It has a Merv 13 rating which is a universal rating system for filtering particles, odors, and other forms of pollution. It also has the most surface area (sq.inches) of filtering media as compared to other less expensive products. Just compare the number of pleats offered in different brands, (this one has 54 pleats). This allows for 3 months of usage as a whole house filter with minimal restriction to the air flow in your heat pump or furnace system. If you are using a low end filter and change to this one, you will notice a significant reduction in dust on your furniture due to it's efficiency. Also, when installing filters, seal around the edges with masking tape to minimize air being passed that isn't filtered. Also, made in the USA.

I've trusted this brand since my first home in 1990. This particular size and MPR are difficult to find in my local stores, so I have them on subscribe & save with Amazon at a better price. Packaging is excellent.

I downloaded their app to my Pixel 7 phone but was unable to get it to connect to the filter. I tried multiple times with it very close to my phone. I tried several suggestions I saw online: reinstalling the app on my phone, and inserting the tab, then removing it again. Neither helped. Calling their support line got me help. Instead of reinserting the flimsy paper tab, they suggested something more rigid, like a collar stay or piece of cardboard. I inserted and removed the collar stay into the sensor's slot and that got the sensor turned on.

MY husband was suffering from bad allergies/asthma. There is a lot of dust in our area from the outside due to all the construction going on and where we live. There would be a ton of build up all around the house, since purchasing these filters, he hasn't had any issues. Great product, just a bit expensive.

Since installing this filter our home has become dust free. Our noses stay clean. There is no dust as used to be in the past. Further the heater only has to run for shorter periods and heats the house quickly due to more air flow. I am sold on this filter and it will save a lot during this summer keeping the home cool. Its been 6 months and constant use of AC , it's still working fine.
