Using these for the small split rings on crank baits is frustrating. The tip of the pliers is too thick and it’s hard to grab the ring and work with it. But they’re great for the bigger split rings and everything else is quality

I have used this tool a few times. So far it has not shown any rust and functions as it should. But I do have a few issues.I would prefer it to be a little smaller and lighter. I only fish fresh water and my needs would be better met with a less bulky tool.Next, the sheath didn’t work well for me. It has an opening designed to slide your belt through keeping the tool in a vertical position. The issue is, more of the weight is located above the opening and the tool wants to lean one way or the other. Ideally, the opening or loop should be placed near the top of the sheath which would eliminate this tipping issue. There is an additional option to slide your belt through a different loop - this keeps the rig horizontal rather than vertical. For me, the issue with this method is the length of the sheath does not allow for a comfortable fit on my waist. It’s too long.I do recommend this product. Certainly the caveats I mentioned may not apply to you. It does what it’s intended, it’s just not perfect for my situation.Best of luck.
