I bought the 2 pack of these pliers, one for my fresh water and one for my salt water bag. After many months of fishing, both are in excellent condition. Sturdy, nice set of features. Highly recommended.

On the first use one of the jaws broke while pinching a small split shot . Are looking at the broken jaw I found an flaw (air pocket) in the cast . I was not Appling much pressure to close a split shot.

I think my "special pliers" tool cart drawer has 30+ pliers.My first foray into split rings was to replace a few treble hooks with single J's.Then I started replacing all the "bent rings" I had on life jacket whistles and such and decided I needed more of these to carry as a "kit."I like tools and my fingernails like this one a lot.
