I am 6'1" tall with a 32" inseam. These socks cover my calves and stop just below the knee. The size XL fits my 10.5 4E feet easily and perfectly. Even with a 68% wool content, the fabric feels soft, stretchy, and breathable. The higher wool content and thickness helps wick away and evaporate my foot sweat. The thickness is just right for fall, winter, and spring use; it's a bit too warm for hot and humid summer days. There's just enough compression to hold them up without being uncomfortably tight.It's easily one of my favorite pairs of socks among my vast assortment of wool socks from various manufacturers and models.

I normally love Fits, but these were disappointing. One wear and they are so stretched that they won’t stay up. No retention of shape at all. My Fits hiking socks have never done this.

I love these the second I put them on, and it’s even summertime here! I wore them all day on a cooler day and they were so super cozy! I have a foot that bloats due to water retention and this sock holds it in enough that it gives some support so it doesn’t bloat as much. My foot has been a lifelong issue since the minuscule veins collapsed in the top of my foot about 35 years ago. I consider myself a sock connoisseur! I traditionally wear. darn tough and smart wool, but now have added this brand to my collection!They were even softer and fuzzier after washing!

These are advertised as Over-The-Calf. These ARE NOT over-the-calf, perhaps maybe if you are four feet tall. They hit me mid-calf, which is both very uncomfortable and not what was advertised. And I ordered XL.
