My feet are always cold, especially one of them. These sox are thin enough to work in the summer

I have used ski socks that have cost over $50 for ONE pair that were not a nice as these. You can feel the merino wool difference right away, and there is simply no better choice for keeping warm. They are tight but not TOO tight-- just tight enough on the average leg that you have plenty of room for your ski boots without bunching up. I assume they are just as good for snowboarding boots, too, though I cannot say that. But for skiing? You would be hard pressed to find a better value that has genuine merino wool, fits this well, and performs this flawlessly.

Excellent socks, but like others wish they had a higher percentage of Merino wool. 30% is low.

For the price these are very nice. Non-scratchy, warm, and thin. On all but the absolute coldest days they are all I need under my ski boots. The knee high height is much more comfortable than calf high, and they stay in place. Strongly recommend these!

Ordered large and medium and they are the same size. These are good for a large foot only.

These are really good quality socks. They have some extra padding in the front of the shin and the back of the calf. This is important because that’s a contact point for ski boots where there is extra pressure. There’s also extra elastic on the ankle area to keep them in place. I ordered the size large and they would be a good fit for women or for older children about ages 10 and up. They also did great in the washer. They came packaged together in a box which would be good for giving them as a gift.

I got these for my husband for Christmas as he was needing more warm socks for the snowboarding season. He was very impressed with the amount of support these have, and noted that they're not too thick but also not too thin. They've kept his feet warm and comfortable while he's on the mountain all day!

Update: after a few washes and a recent 4 mile hike I found a few things which take these socks down to 4 stars.- during the hike I had to stop several times to pull the socks up as they keep slipping down over the calf. Think I’ll try modding with some of that rubber cement-like fabric glue for a little traction. This only happened in the black pair. The blue stay up fine.- there are loose threads on the inside of the socks near the logo and color traditions that get snagged when pulling the socks on. You have to be careful and I’m worried they will come unraveled. But still super comfy and warm.Original post:The large socks fit my size 9 feet perfectly. The length is just snug in the toe without being tight. Height of the sock is fully over the calf so no risk of them sliding down or cutting off circulation in mid-calf.They are soft, comfortable and well made. Black and Blue are nice bold patterns and colors, fun without being too flashy.Bottom line, half the price as some other bands for quality merino wool socks is difficult to beat. Looking forward to skiing and snowshoeing in them this winter!
