My dog is very energetic and aggressive during play. I was a little worried this would be too much for the little guy but he loves it. We play with it about three times daily when he has too much energy and it works well to tire him out. It’s great for tug of war or chase. The rope and cable are durable and the contoured handle feels good to grip, especially for a right handed person. Sadly I’m left handed but it’s still a great product. It’s held up really well with daily use.

Our trainer demonstrated this item to us and our pooch liked it. We ordered one and have been using it daily with our mini golden doodle. He absolutely loves it. We put it away after use as he would probably chew up the end or the rope if he had access to it.

Overall it’s a good product but I made the sssumption that the pole was just plastic and not fiberglass. Noticed the puppy had been chewing on the stick so I picked it upTo take it away from him and hot fiberglass splinters n my hand. Needless to say I’m not thrilled that my puppy was chewing on fiberglass and likely got some in his mouth.He loves the rope toy though so either keepIt out of reach when not actively playing with the fog or throw the pole out and just use the rope portion

I have a 45lb, very rambunctious puppy and this toy has been a lifesaver! I have read other reviews about it breaking easily, but this flirt pole is solid. The thing people don’t seem to understand us that this is not a fishing pole. It’s not designed to bend and flex. Once the dog catches the rope, drop the pole tip to the floor and encourage the dog to “drop it.†If you were just wanting to play tug of war, you could use any old rope or toy for that. This is designed to keep the dog chasing it. So, while you definitely should allow them to catch the rope occasionally, you should not try to play tug of war with the pole. Don’t pull back against the dog’s weight. You will break the rod. When the dog drops the rope, immediately pull the rod up and away from the floor and the dog will happily start chasing the rope again.This toy is actually made with some pretty high quality products. I have compared it to others and this one really does seem to use the best ropes and the thickest metal rods. Also, it has a certain way to hold it with built in finger rests for a perfect, comfortable grip. One more tip, when you and your dog are done with the flirt pole chasing game, put the toy away out of the dog’s reach so he/she can’t chew on any of the parts while you’re not looking.

This is the perfect flirt pole, it's durable when your dog catches it and pulls. The rope is easily replaceable, and you can change out the toy very easily as well. Definitely great value for the cost and a huge hit for my Australian shepherd.

We love this flirt pole for our 2 year old Australian Shepherd. We were recommended to get a flirt pole by our trainers, and after trying out many other ones we finally found one that is strong and simple to use. It's sturdy, easy to assemble and so much fun. This is a great flirt pole. Solid construction, screw together for good solid connection. However, it is a bit heavy, and quite loud. The jingling of the hook sometimes distracts my pup to the point of him not wanting to play, but it is rare.

I use this flirt pole with my 110+lb xl american bully and it is holding up very strong. Good quality rope and tug toy. No rips or tears and I have been using it for over 5 months.
