Bought myself an original Floyd Rose after having my guitar’s old trem blocked (hard tailed) for the longest , my old trem just wouldn’t stay in tune ! But anyway after installing the Floyd I was happy to finally have a functioning trem but something about the tone felt off compared to how it was when it was blocked . The notes felt kind of lifeless , they’d fade away quickly and it just sounded dull like something was missing..I bought a 42mm block and now it is alive again ! I know there’s a lot of skeptics out there and there are some people who say this stuff is a waste of money but I’d argue that in some cases installing a big brass block is similar to installing new pickups . I highly recommend getting the biggest block you can fit for the most noticeable difference ! The thin brass blocks out there don’t make much of an audible difference , bigger is better in my opinion . It also helps darken a guitar if it is too bright , if your guitar is already dark sounding it will actually make it sound even darker .The tone now sounds richer , more sustain and less thin . If you’re skeptical give it a try , especially if you have a trem loaded guitar that sounds like it’s lacking something . It’s worth a try !

I put this on my B.C. Rich Warlock. Quite a difference from the puny block that was on there. I've had brass sustain blocks on my guitars for about 10 years, but until now I always paid double for them. Glad to see Floyd Rose are now producing them for half the price. My tremolo was the R-Loc, which is the OFR design, but under license to B.C. Rich. It fits perfecty. I removed the buffer plate altogether for closer contact.Upside: more sustain, every note is more articulate.Downside: you'll hear every mistake you make. Upside to that is that it'll force you to focus on more precise playing. However, if you have crappy pickups, this thing will let you know.

An inexpensive upgrade that makes a difference. I installed this on a Floyd Rose Special that came with my Jackson SLXFMG Soloist. It made a definite difference in the sound and the sustain compared with the block, who knows what it was, that came with it. I was surprised to hear a difference in the distorted tone as well. While I'm not a huge fan of active pickups, the EMGs in the guitar had different tone with the new block even in high gain settings. Very pleased with the purchase.Someone answered in the questions above that it would not work on a Floyd Rose Special, not only does this disagree with what is on the FR website but I'm attaching pictures for verification that it works. For the Jackson Soloist you need the 32mm, anything larger won't fit correctly. It doesn't turn a special into a solid steel original... but it brings it much closer for not a lot of cash.

I have just recently rebuilt a licensed Floyd Rose tremolo using only official Floyd Rose parts and I am very happy with the results. I received a pretty beat up 1999 Kramer Striker from a friend as a donation project guitar. It was missing many pieces from the tremolo, which was a Kramer branded licensed Floyd Rose and I decided to take it completely apart in order to clean it and then rebuild it using only actual Floyd Rose parts. This brass trem block was one of the final upgrades and it truly has made a world of difference in tone and sustain. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to add a significant amount of sustain from their guitar with a Floyd rose, especially if your guitar has the cheap pot metal block on licensed Floyd rose trems.

**UPDATE**Wanted to add some useful information.Q.) Are tremolo springs slipping/ disconnecting from your brass block?A.) Brass block is likely installed backwards. Re-install, but make sure logo is facing towards bottom of guitar.I originally put this on a Floyd Rose Special, and it made a massive difference. Before this block, my trem had no flutter whatsoever. After installation of this there was a definite difference in the "feel" while using whammy bar. You really gotta try it yourself to fully appreciate it.Anyhow, today I upgraded my guitar from a Floyd Special to a Floyd Rose Original Tremolo System(satin gold). Weighed the tremblocks and here is the info:Floyd Rose Fat Brass = ~162grams,Original Floyd Block = ~116gramsThe fat brass block is heavier even though the original block is much longer.Regardless if the sound is changed for the better or if it's the same, what I find more important is the FEEL.The feel of the guitar while playing is greatly improved. Flutters are clean, and easy to do.

32mm fit perfectly in my ML style guitar it did make a difference in tone and sustain you can just hear it and feel it. Only thing it did not come with the 3 screws not sure if it was a mistake or it comes like that but I had extras so it’s fine but if I didn’t it would be a problem

Authentic Floyd parts can’t go wrong with a block upgrade. Everr since I bought a brass block to replace a stripped stock tiny one on use Jackson I’ve upgrade to bigger brass block on all my Floyd’s. Love the sound the added mass even helps with the balancing of the strings and springs when setting up the Floyd rose

Le quedó como anillo al dedo a un puente Schaller.El de 32mm es ideal para guitarras de cuerpo delgado, de lo contrario ya no se podría colocar la tapa trasera en caso de quererla

This block was as easy to put in as changing strings on a Floyd rose, but with the bonus of having a much better tone once fitted.Great definition @4khz and the only thing to take in to account is that the strings will need to be adjusted for the extra mass on the system
