Most recorders come with some sort of case, plastic recorders often come with flimsy bags which rip easily and often don't stay closed. While plastic recorders don't need the same sort of hard protection which wooden recorders need, it is still important to protect the windway so that nothing chips at the Labium (the fine knife-edge which is what actually produces the tone.)This bag can keep the recorder safe if you leave it lying around the house or if you toss it in a backpack for travelling (either to school, or going on vacation). This is inexpensive and does not offer much protection but it does completely encase the recorder so the fragile part is not vulnerable to damage. After all, one of the great things about plastic recorders is that they are very sturdy except for that one fragile part in the head-joint.This is a great bag for keeping a plastic soprano recorder safe!

It fits my D pennywhistle with a little extra space at the ends. It's pretty, and seems very durable. I had hoped for a little padding, but it does seem to be adequate protection.

This case is very good protection for grand daughters flute recorder which was wrapped in original plastic before. Nice pattern and ok padding. This case would have been better with a hardshell to really protect the flute!

Perfect to hold school recorder, and I use a carabiner to attach to book bag easily for music days. Bought for my fourth grader. Worked out perfectly. Just wish there were more designs to choose from. Will buy again if needed. Highly recommend.
