I think price was high in my door is hard to tell because of panels around it , I don't see nothing about motion . but one thing is since is very add size is hard to sell that's why price is high .

This was the only one we could find to fit a narrower door. Works great. The cover was a bonus.

Well after drilling into my door and realizing that the previous peephole I bought fit the "door thickness" and not the panel thickness, I was relieved to find this one on Amazon. The big box stores I went to didn't have it. I opened the package to find no instructions and a peephole in about 5 different pieces. Once I figured out how everything went together, and then taking it a part again to clean all my fingerprints off the tiny plastic pieces, the peephole fit my door perfectly. For that I am thankful. My wife is also thankful that the large hole in our $1k door is no longer there. The peephole is just ok. It's definitely not fancy, but it gets the job done.
