Bought this to place a 50 lb salt block in. Didn’t really want the block sitting directly on the grass and this works great! See pic.

Nice pan but it is not metal. It is plastic. For plastic it is priced a little high.

We had purchased a large salt block before and set it on the ground this is much better. Water does not sit in the bottom.

This holds a 50lb trace mineral block perfectly, drains well and is very durable. Couldn't be better for my purposes.

These pans are great and are doing a wonderful job of keeping my salt licks from being either in the mud or standing water. I just wish that the center section actually fit into the hole in a 50lb salt lick. Perhaps it would fit into other brands of salt lick, but what we have around here are the American Stockman brand.

My cows had knocked the salt blocks off the boards into the mud. With these they lick the blocks until gone completely.
