It has a measurement range of 0-6" (0 to 150mm), a resolution of 0.00005"/0.001mm with +/– 0.00016"/0.004mm accuracy. This electronic depth micrometer is suitable for precise measurements in a variety of manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering applications. This product has 1-year warranty offered by Fowler High Precision. Depth gages are precision measuring instruments used to determine the depth of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot. The base of the gage rests at the top of the shape whose recession is to be measured, while the beam or rods extend to the bottom of the recession to determine the measurement. Gage position is read from a graduated scale, dial, counters, or an electronic display.

This makes a great addition to a machinist toolbox. Cheap enough for a depth mic especially digital with .0001 increments makes it a lot easier to measure in a machine

My co worker has this exact model. Been looking for a depth mic and love my co workers so I but the bullet and bought this one. Packaged nicely, except there are no batteries. Not in the mic OR in the case.Advertised as having batteries.-1 star.

I received a fake set!!! It didn't come with battery's that's just the first warning sign. The battery listed in the instructions was an sr44 like the real ones take. The battery is ended up using was a 2032 so not even close. I've yet to actually use them but things aren't looking good.

Had to update my review from very positive to very negative. This tool will NOT give consistent measurements. The directions leaves a lot to be desired. The manual also lists the incorrect size of battery I used a CR2032 battery. It would not even give accurate measurements on a gauge block with known dimensions. This tool will be getting sent back.

I've use this depth mic at work constantly for over 4 years with no issues. I would recommend it.
