These switches are exactly the same. But I found that my problem was with the hatchback switch. Now I know that the other doors are good with new switches.

I only needed the rubber cover and left the original switch in place. I had to remove the original switch to install the rubber boot. Check out U tube to see how it is done because the wire to the switch is really short and will pull of the switch when you unscrew it, That wire can easily slip back into the door and would require removing the door panel.

Just installed and fits 2001 Toyota Highlander. So long as it lasts, 5 stars.

Edit: after writing the review, the seller reached out to me and gave me a refund so the customer service is great.I bought this in a pinch since mine went bad and an OEM Toyota one was going to take too long to be delivered. Worked great for the first month or so, but once the weather started getting colder (less than 40 degrees), the switch started sticking. Not a huge deal, except this switch controls power steps which either didn’t go down when I opened the door, or came down when I was halfway in the truck, hitting my leg. Save your money, just get OEM.

Easy to replace. It fits, and it’s working. Expensive considering the metal flange that contacts the door frame does not look anodized like the original. So I’m not confident it’s going to last as long.
