Upon opening the product a question was asked ? Do you think it has a filter inside? I replied yes noticing the handy work of the filter ! And now with three other people watching to see as it was opened lol n then bravo it did !! Thank you

I purchased this filter to fit a much larger machine than I have. Compare the 1" air inlet of the filter, to the 1/2" air inlet of the compressor. But, I won't be changing filters every month, with this monster of a filter!The noise cancellation is less than I expected - only marginally better than the little filter meant to fit my compressor. That's not a big deal, the primary reason for the filter is to keep dirt out of the compressor! Any reduction in noise is just a bonus, IMO. If the noise gets too irritating, I can always build a box around the compressor.

Filter used to modify my air compressor. I now have a better filter and much quieter air compressor. I am very happy with the performance, quality, and cost.
