I put this petcock on my ‘99 FXDX and it works perfectly. Comes with a spare filter. Easy to install, smooth operation. Just remember that it works off of vacuum, so if you’re not cranking on the motor , fuel won’t come out. The vacuum pulls a little plunger inside that opens to let the fuel flow out.

This replacement petcock is as good or better than original. Received in few days, original would have taken weeks. And was only one tenth the cost.

Good - Packaged well and came on time. I did a quick vacuum check and it holds a vacuum. Installed on 1999 Harley-Davidson Dyna Convertible - FXDS-CONV. The fit was exact and bike fired right up.Unacceptable - In less than 24 hours, it started leaking gas at one of the corners. I thought maybe the screws on the backplate may be loose, but they were not. It still holds vacuum but constantly drips gas. UNACCEPTABLE…Cheap China crap.

I was installing the fuel valve on my 2001 HD Heritage and found that the filter diameter is too large to install. I will be returning the fuel valve for a refund. The valve was great, the only problem was the filter.
