Super though Gi! Looks great too.If you're looking for a Gi to train old school karate where you might even be grappling a lot also,,,then this Gi is perfect! It can take it! Thicker than a regular karate Gi and thinner than a judo Gi. The pants and top are of the same feel and material, not like a judo Gi. Very hard feel at first until you break it in. Yes, you have to break this Gi in like a good pair of boots. I'm sure this Gi will last a long time!PS: I bought the 3 and 4 cause I'm 5,10 170. The 3 fits perfectly, like the picture...The 4 top was perfect too (just fit a little looser), but the 4 pants fit big in the waist .. they do have a string and will shrink a little bit, but still looks good.

I bought three heavy weight gis to replace my 10 years old light/medium weight gis.Fuji 14 oz. - my favorite. Fits very well, feels right, snappy, durable (so far), surprisingly comfortable for what this is. Pull strings on the pants are a bit short.Ronin 12 oz. - second favorite. Runs big. Like I have to roll the pants leg 4 times big. Top is very loose as well. Snappy, durable, almost as soft and comfortable as the Fuji.Hayabusa 16 oz. - least favorite of the three. Runs a little small. Heaviest material and you can feel it. Snappy but quite a bit rougher than the other brands.

Way too baggy in sleeve and pant legs, fits normally in chest and length of sleeves and pants are good, just too baggy, like MC Hammer parachute pants.Sleeves are 8.5 inches wide at opening, pants are 11 inches at opening. Thatd a 17" and 22" circumference respectively...

It is the right size (I ordered size 4, I am 5'8" and medium built), the quality is amazing, stitching very well done, packaging great (not that it matters when u are using the gi, not the package). My teachers were (and still are) in love with how it looks and snaps (part of it has to do with the technique, hehe). It has the quality of a 300 dollar gi, and feels soft and very heavy weight at the same time. Perfect! It is a Japanese cut though, so arms and legs are shorter than what Americans use, just as an info. I am old school, this works out for me. Will get another one in a few weeks.Guess what, I got the second one! Love it! It doesn't shrink in wash, just got to iron it when slightly damp, or hang to dry. Stays soft, snaps loud, wears well, and everyone is impressed when I tell them the price.

Male 5' 11" and 150lb. I bought a 5 and my slender swimmers body was swimming in this gi. Returned and will try a size 4. The gi does feel amazing! It's heavy/snappy yet feels light and soft. Looking forward to getting to try the right fit! The pants are pretty big but I will probably adjust this like always in the wash and drying cycles to shrink them appropriately. The five was way too big to attempt this though but I usually like to buy up and shrink down if possible so I don't have to line dry constantly

Got this in the mail today, seems to be a very good quality. The only thing so far is the sizing, o ordered a size 5 and the jacket fit like a glove, but the pants were way to big. The sizing chart on Fuji's website said it should fit me but be a little bit big ( I'm 5' 10" and 195 lbs ) the pants seem to be for a person who is about 6' - 6' 9" and I understand that the pants are supposed to be roomier ( I been practicing martial arts on and off for about 20 years so this isn't new info to me) but I would also need to be considerably bigger around for these to fit properly. I am going to attempt to shrink the pants a bit and hem them and I will update my review after that and they have seen some time on the dojo floor. But for the price point these seem to be minor issues.

This is an AWESOME Karate Gi. If you were to remove the label from both the jacket and pants you would SWEAR this was a Shureido. I have owned both Shureido and Tokaido gi's and the Fuji is on the same level and at an affordable price. I purchased one recently and I am getting another. The quality is superior and stitching is well done on both cuffs of the jacket as well as with the pants. The sleeves and pants give a crisp snap when doing kata and if cleaned properly this gi will last you a very long time.

Buen karategi en el precio correcto. He comprado tres en este año. El primero talla 5 que me quedo un poco chico después de dos lavadas en frÃo. mido 1.80mts y peso 94 kg. Después compré dos en talla 6 y me ajustaron mejor después de dos lavadas en frÃo y un leve ajuste con un lavado en agua tibia. El corte es tradicional y las mangas a mi gusto un poco largas y el largo del saco está bien. Trae 5 lÃneas de costura en la solapa, 7 en las mangas de los puños y 5 en la bastilla del saco. El pantalón es genial, amplio y cómodo con amarre tradicional y bastilla de 7 costuras. La calidad y peso de lona te hace recordar que traes puesto un karategi de 14 oz. La mejora que podrÃa tener este karategi es corregir el doble forro en los hombros por que hace que queden un poco arrugados. Pareciera que las dos capas encogen en distinta proporción, aunque se ve que es el mismo material. Una vez que se resuelva este detalle definitivamente lo va a catapultar a una categorÃa superior. Aún con este detalle estoy muy satisfecho con este karategi y lo recomiendo ampliamente en este precio. Espero pronto comprar el tercero en talla 6.

Size 5 was a Perfect fit for my teen son who is about 5'11", 180 lb - no alterations needed. I would also consider getting one myself, but the size 5 pants seem perfect while I am sure I need a size 6 jacket (I'm 6'2", 205lb). Too bad that you can't get tops and bottoms separately.

Excelente calidad, háganle caso a las medidas porque sà coinciden, desafortunadamente lo tuve que devolver porque por pensar que no, le quedó gigante a mi esposo y al no haber más tallas disponibles ya no pude comprarlo en la adecuada. Al hacer la comparación, definitivamente por un precio muy similar al de otra marca, este es superior en calidad.

This was as nice as the custom gi i payed way more money for. Material is nice and thick. Washes up nice. Fit me almost perfectly. Wrinkles a lot though.
