This suit is best for Karate sports But can be used for other sports too like Taekwondo. In some schools, They use Jacket over it. You can consult with your instructor.

The church we attend needed to update the baptismal clothes. All I could find in a search was thin robes that once wet you could see through and floated up when walking into the water. There was a pair of light blue scrubs for men but for ladies they were thin, see-through gowns, so after much thought I remembered my sons karate outfit! These are thick enough, belted and big enough for many sizes. Pants are drawstring & can be rolled up at the bottom for shorter people. We purchased 2 kids sizes and 1 extra large adult size. These should cover all the bases!

Now that I've worn the gi in a few classes and have washed it once I can say it runs small. The sleeves are a bit short but that's fine, the length of the kimono is also short and the belt sits under the ties which looks and feels incorrect. The pants are long enough to bunch up on my feet a little but the seat is too tight and will eventually tear. I am comparing this to the two other brands I own and this is too tight. I'm 5'9 200 lbs and purchased a size 5 for reference. The material of the gi and belt are thin but good enough for the price.
