I love this post box in general, but I'm one of those oddballs that doesn't care for the distressed look, so I may try painting over those areas that are "distressed". Overall, I love it! It won't be used as a real mailbox, only as decoration.UDATE: I put it up yesterday and it looks great on my outdoor entryway! I decided not to paint over the distressed parts of it because now that it's up on the wall, the distressed parts are harder to see. I'll be so glad to see this "distressed look" trend go away.

As the flap for the letters opens inwards, the mail box fills with water when it rains and makes all the post soggy.Wouldn’t recommend, buy one with an outwards open overlapping flap.
