Good design but very poorly made. Gets the job done but very flimsy! I doubt it lasts. No, would not recommend this and would not buy it again.

Doesn't work as promised. The construction is flimsy and the slots flop around when trying to use it. Do not recommend. I had better success just cutting bread without it.

I made a loaf of homemade bread to test whether this would work as intended. It worked fine, and provided uniform slices, which is always an issue when cutting the slices freehand.There are several slots to adjust the width and the length, so the bread will be more stable when making the cuts. Be gentle when using the knife so it doesn't contact too much with the plastic; that way both plastic and the sharpness of the knife will last longer.If you have ever cut homemade bread, you know how the crumbs can go everywhere. The crumb tray really helps to contain almost all the crumbs. (There's always some that find their way onto the countertop)Cleanup was breeze with soap and water. I kept the box to store the unit in a cabinet. HINT: if you can't seem to fit everything back in the box, store the sides under the bottom within the crumb tray. Then the end piece and the knife will easily fit in the other area of the box.

If it cost much more than that, then I would say to skip it.Pros:-It’s effective and definitely better than me just trying to cut the bread evenly on my own.-The crumb catcher bottom tray keeps my counter clean.-I can get really even slices thin enough to use for making sandwiches.-All the pieces come apart quickly for flat storage in a small space.-The included knife is long enough to use with the biggest loaves that the apparatus will hold. The bread knife I already owned wasn’t quite long enough so I have to keep making sure it stays in the correct slot while I’m sawing away.Cons:-It’s made of really flimsy, cheap plastic. Every time I cut a slice, the knife makes grooves in the plastic at the bottom.-The knife is really thin and bendy.
