If you use fresh garlic in your cooking, this is a must have. Effortless and rapid peeling. This is my second order. Gifted the first set to my adult children, gourmet cooks all!!

These are an interesting addition to your kitchen tool set. They do work, albeit with a lot of pressure. The tubes are thin and flimsy silicone, so they don't offer a lot of force just rolling a clove in these, you need to apply force. They are washable, but like all silicone stuff, do not put it through the dishwasher. The silicone somehow takes on the taste/smell of dishsoap, so you do have to hand wash these. A bottle brush, if you have one, does fine, or just vigourously swishing these around in a sink of hot water and soap works, too.I like these, because I hate hand-peeling garlic, and the clove in 2 bowls method I learned from my housemate who worked in pro kitchens is too loud for my autistic ears. But I do need to remember to apply some force when using these to get the desired result.

I've had a variety of silicone/rubber garlic peelers over the years. They are a simple, but effective, way to deal with the frustrating job of removing the skin off garlic cloves. They work and are usually pretty durable. This set seems different than any I have had in the past. They seem bigger, but also feel much thinner. That makes me wonder how long they will last. Perhaps that's why there are three in the pack for a rather cheap price. I guess time will tell.If you've never used one of these type garlic peelers, I would recommend you try them out. Your hands and nails will appreciate it. Given the price, and the fact that you get three of them, I wouldn't be overly concerned about potential durability issues.

I don't usually use caps. I'm not yelling. But if you've ever messed around with garlic chopping & peeling devices, you know they don't make anything easier. It's just a different sticky mess. I cook all the time. Every day, also I'm a chef at a nicer local tavern. And I'm Italian, so I put garlic in everything. Just so I don't leave any question as to whether these garlic peelers are a good investment:THIS IS THE EASIEST WAY TO PEEL FRESH GARLIC. EVER. If you haven't tried one of these, just, please, try it. It saves so much time & mess. Do yourself a favor.

I hate peeling garlic. This little gadget removes at least half of the annoyance. I peeled half a head of garlic in about two minutes yesterday. Cleanup was a breeze.I normally peel garlic by giving it a good whack with the side of a knife or the bottom of a bowl, but with that method the tiny hidden cloves often go shooting off to hidden parts of the kitchen. It's also a lot messier, and the garlic juice buildup means everything sticks to everything. You still get some of that with these tubes, but far less. The mess is much more contained.
