For the most part anything made by Gearwrench is going to be well made and purpose built and this belt placement tool does exactly that the only drawback I feel is that it is very heavy and I was hoping it would be flexible but that is not the case it is approximately 5/16 wide heavy walled tube 24 inches long the gripping action is smooth and works effortlessly again this will do what it is intended for and will last a lifetime just as long as everything is in a straight shot with nothing to maneuver around to much

This is a well designed product, which is very effective, very cost effective and easy to use. While I don’t use it often, I am a fan of the gear wrench line, and this tool won’t disappoint.

I used it to pry over a drive belt on an older style garage door opener. Both the pulleys were fixed. so muscle was needed. The tool offers plenty of leverage.

Bought this after i had struggled getting belt on in a tight area i know it will work perfectly in those tight areas u cant reach or get ur hands into to put belt on

This tool would've been perfect if you were able to spin the handle / grip.Because it's fixed to the shaft (and jaws), you can end up in an awkward position just to use it.The jaws need to oriented one way to position the belt, so the handle / grip ends up only in one position.You're lucky if it's comfortable for you...It's due to the fact that you need to "pull" on two, opposing plastic wings to actuate the jaws.If Gearwrench made it so that those plastic wings could spin, the tool would be perfect.This is such a major flaw that I had to deduct two stars...

Pretty simple, but very very necessary tool for doing serpentine belt in transversal engines, like Honda, Toyota, Volvo etc cars. I got it with serpentine belt wrench set from GearWrench.Good tool. Recommen it.
