I needed this to get a very tight transmission filter loose on a telehandler where the access was very limited and other methods had failed. This tool worked great for that use allowing enough leverage with a breaker bar to get it free.

Had to return it because it would not fit the filter on my Isuzu Diesel Generator. BUT it is a excellent heavy duty tool that should last a long time if you need a large Heavy Duty filter wrench. The sizes it fits is a little off. It just missed what I needed or I would have definitely kept it. Well made tool.

I use these on a breaker bar not ratchet. Mine is extendable. I don’t have to play with the gearing of ratchets and I can switch between 16â€-24â€. If you work on Volvos a lot, these are worth it and needed. Plus they’re not cheap quality. Unless the filter is so tight on you have to stab it, you’ll definitely break it loose with this one and not have to worry about it folding in.

I'm a diesel service tech at a large shop. This filter wrench works just fine 99% of the time. The other 1% of the time it slips and you end up punching an engine block or a framerail. Only 4 stars because it wouldn't have been so hard to put some grips on the inside diameter of the wrench. Also the wrench likes to hang up on its own rivets sometimes and thats a bit of a pain in tight places. These work good but could be refined to be a bit more user friendly.Very strong. I use mine with a 1/2 Matco breaker bar and a 12" ratchet.

Couldn't budge the old filter with any of my filter wrenches. This one worked great. Couldn't believe the old filter took a 1/2 drive and piece of pipe for leverage to break it loose.

The wrench is defiantly heavy duty. Make sure you check your filter size though it was too large for my intended purposes. I wish they made this same style, for smaller filters.
