We ordered a " new " item and it's broken by the time it came out of the box. And no not shipper damage like you got this item returned and tried to pass it off ad new. The guide taps were broke off and the threads for the inlets were stripped.

I've used these on a couple projects so far and I really like the cost of them. The only downside that I've come across is the threading for the input and output is extremely finicky and cross threads very easily

Got 2 and they are fine, no leaks and looks like they will last.

Geekpure has an extensive product range from small residential units to large industrial RO systems. I have found that the quality of their products is very good. I have been into water filtration since a young age when needing RO for saltwater aquariums. It carried over into drinking water systems and whole home systems. As a second generation home builder I have grown to appreciate homes that incorporate new technologies but in a way that emphasizes lower maintenance and higher efficiencies.20 inch filters provide longer change-out intervals as compared to 10 inch versions. Especially for larger water volumes when filtering all the household water used. Installing a whole house filter makes a lot of sense for most situations. It will provided filtered water thru out the home, taking care of laundry, toilets and showers as well as all faucets. You will be able to enjoy the benefits of higher quality water thru out your home.Some things to keep in mind when installing a whole house filtration system.- Whole house filters are usually placed where the incoming water line enters the house. I like to place them after the main shutoff valve and the pressure regulator. In this way you can use the main shutoff to turn off the water during filter changes. Alternatively you can place a bypass system around the filter to bypass it in the event some kind of failure happens to it. ie.. one of the housings starts leaking. In this way you will still have water to the house at all times. This is actually a best method approach. I would recommend it.- It is best to place the filter housing in an easy to access area that is ok to get wet. A little bit of water often gets spilled when changing these filters, especially the larger 20 inch versions. Having them mounted on a wall at a good servicing height is ideal. You can always place a bucket under them while chaining to keep things drier. I like to stand them off the wall a little bit by adding a 3/4" plywood furring strip behind the mounting bracket. Having a little extra room on the backside of the filter makes it easier to work the canister wrench during filter changes.- The more water you run thru the filter the more frequent it will need to be changed. If you have an exterior hose bib located after the filter and it gets a lot of use, you will be filtering your outside water too. If you don't need your car washing, gardening, or irrigation water filtered it may be a good idea to see if this arrangement can be changed. It may involve running a before filter T-off and separate line to that hose bib.- Geekpure does offer a clear housing version. I would highly recommend considering it. I appreciate having clear canisters on my kitchen sink/refrigerator RO system. There is a lot of iron in the water in my area and being able to see the sediment filter allows me to quickly assess the condition of it. I have learned over the years to know the color it turns when it is about fully used up and begins to reduce water flow.- Getting the dual canister system will allow you to have a sediment pre-filter as well as a carbon block or GAC filter. The carbon filter will remove chlorine and a lot of other chemical impurities that the sediment filter won't. I find this great for showering, brushing teeth, rinsing vegetables and other similar tasks. There are many benefits for your health. Not just for water quality but in fact many tests have been performed and standards set for indoor air quality. Off gassing of chlorine and other chemicals in household water are big contributors. Just the water in our toilet off gassing contributes to this. When showering you are breathing in these gasses as well as having the chemicals touch and absorb thru your skin. The health benefits are largely not know by the public, but for those who have health conditions, reducing as many toxin exposures as possible is a worthy strategy and this can be one of them.Now on to this Blue Canister in particular. I personally would use it as a secondary canister for housing a carbon block or granular activated carbon filter. You will likely need to change these on a 6 month to 1 yr period. I would place this after a clear housing canister with a 20 micron sediment filter installed. This single canister as opposed to a dual canister version may come in handy for limited space situations where multiple single canisters fit better than a dual side by side version. In most situations the sediment filter will need to be changed on a more frequent interval than the carbon filter. I change my sediment filters every 6 months and the carbon filters annually. This is in a household of 4, in an area with hard water and a TDS reading of 130 ms.Having a whole house water filter is great for most situations. I personally also have a secondary RO system for my sink located drinking water faucet and refrigerator/ice maker lines. It is wonderful to have better than bottled water available on tap. My kids have grown up drinking purified water and I find they enjoy drinking water. They still drink milk, cool aid, sodas and tea, but I am convinced they drink much more water than they would if I hadn't installed the water filtration systems. When we go to restaurants to eat we all immediately know if they are serving filtered or non-filtered tap water. We rarely purchase bottled water. Our home water seems better in almost every way. I have added a remineralizing cartridge after the RO, and I like it better that way. All our tea, cool aid, coffee, and cooking water is filtered. It makes everything taste better. When even your ice if from filtered water you notice. When the ice melts, the water still remains so clear.I really appreciate being able to have filtered water in my home. I think once you have experienced it you will never want to go without. A whole house filter is a great water to take drinking water filtration to the next level. These are whole house filters being used on well water. I have 2 of them, 1 for finer sediment and a charcoal after that. You can put whatever filter you want inside these, they are a standard 20" size
