Speed ratio adjustment
- Press the black rubber button on the gauge for 3 second, then it enter into the speed ratio setup mode, if the button is released for 3 second, it exit the speed ratio setup mode, and automatically retain the setting data.
- After entering the setup mode, press the button, the value will be increasing and release the button, then press it again,the number will be decreasing;Adjust the ratio value to what you want, then release the button for 3 second, the digital automatic will automatically save.

Can not change colors of light. Only stays on red. Or am I doing something wrong???? If I am please let me know.

They look nice, but vary disappointed. Purchased 2 of these a year ago for 2 upcoming resto/mod projects and just doing the first resto to find the tach is very slow responding. It also upon returning engine to idle needle jumps from 1000 to 3000 rpm and back 5 or 6 times before settling. Tried the second tach and it doesn't work. When you set the ratio to 3 for 6cyl gas needle does nothing, recheck the ratio to find it at 54! Reset several times with same results. Would not recommend. 2 of 2 defective units indicates lack of quality and testing if not the design itself!

Works as described once configured correctly with the button on the back of the unit. As for the wiring (since it does not come with a harness) I used the diagram pictured in this Amazon ad and the wires from an old trailer wiring kit so that I had individually colored wires. The provided instructions can be a bit confusing, so I will provide what I did during installation. ***Ground wire-directly to battery ground.. Power wire- tapped to power wire for fuel gauge(for ignition response).. Light wire- tapped to power wire for NAV lights... Tach signal wire- ran wire to motor and connected/tapped it into to the number 1 cylinder spark plug coil pack power wire.****. Once everything was connected follow the provided instructions to program the tach idle RPM's. As a heads up the default configuration on the tach has it set at -300 RPM so I had to set it to Zero first for the needle to respond correctly to motors idle/throttle. Once this was done and I took the boat out on the water I had no issues with the tach and based on outboard OEM specs the tach was displaying the RPM correctly.

1st off the instructions sux. Had to play around with the values to get as close as possible with the rpms. I didn't see a lack/delay in reading with increasing the rpms. Installed on a CC with a Johnson 200GT. I'm sure it needs some fine tuning but it's a ball park start.
