I replaced all the gauges and switches in my sons 1992 Glastron Carlson CSS 16. They all look great, the Speedo is GPS, so no pickup tube on the back of the boat to clog with weeds, it also has a resettable trip odometer and a Non resecting odometer along with different colors for the background light. The Tachometer includes an hour meter.A very nice-looking upgrade to a 32-year-old boat.

Really good speedometer. Was easy to install. I checked its accuracy with gps and it’s right on. Lots of colors of back light to choose from. Instructions were easy to follow.

Super easy to install. I used Google maps to verify accuracy and it's pretty accurate. It's usually 1-2 mph above or below (assume it's just a delay with GPS signal)

I purchased this unit because of the design and the low speed range that was offered. It is installed in a diesel locomotive and is running on 32 VDC. Zero to 35 MPH is perfect for our application because our speed limit is 15 MPH. Most other brands only had ranges in the 0 to 80 MPH, 0 to 120 MPH or 0 - 160 MPH. I ran the receiver antenna up to the roof of the locomotive so no metal was in the way of the receiver. The unit indicates speed surprisingly well given the fact that a good portion of our railroad goes through a tree lined canopy. In open areas I expected the unit to indicate correctly and it did. Once we entered the tree area I expected the GPS signal to be interrupted and the unit to freeze up as the instructions say it will when the GPS signal is lost. It did no fail at all and the trees are very thick with branches and leaves. Maybe it will have more of a problem when the tree leaves are wet. This is only our second day of operation but so far, so good. On a bad note, unless you keep the unit powered up all of the time the reading on the odometer will zero out. On a good note, one of my engineers has trouble seeing a red back lit instrument and asked if the color could be changed to blue. I made the simple change and expected once powered down the unit would return to the default red back light. It returned to the blue back light when powered back up. If the unit continues to perform like is has these two days I will be very happy that I purchased it.Edit, after the second day of operation it appears only the trip odometer resets when power is removed. The odometer has retained the miles traveled from yesterday. My mistake.

looks good , hooked up easily , but takes a few miles of driving before it will work. sometimes sticks on 20 or 40 mph , goes back to zero , only works about 1/2 the time now, dissapointed !

I had installed digital GPS Speedometers before, but the back light was like having a flashlight in your face at night. This is exactly what you would expect for night time back lighting on a gauge.I used a GPS App on my phone to compare speeds, and they were both the same. For the use in the boat, you can never get the low speeds from conventional speedometers, where GPS provides this accuracy in slow no wake zones.
