So, I noticed that my DRLs were not on and it did not bother me until I was installing a cheap head unit to get backup camera working on a 2005 Silverado 4x4 5.3 and the head unit would not get out of night mode. So, I ordered this item, which is a two (2) wire sensor and that solved, DRL, radio going into daytime mode AND stop the melting going on the right side headlight from 9006 bulb and headlight assembly, since the low beams used to be on ALL-THE-TIME!!! Unbelievable that fourteen bucks solved so much.Warning: To take out the dash, careful to side straight out and DO NOT PULL UP or you will break the metal brackets that come melted into place to the underside of the dash cover from the factory. I was very careful and still broke two on one side and I had to use super glue to re-attach the metal bracket back to the dash cover. This fix is not that hard, it is just time consuming and if you are already doing a head unit, then it should be a no brainier to do if your DRLs are not working.

Older one was smaller so had to make hole bigger for new one to fit but was easy and works well

Took apart my entire dash july 2023 to do some ac work. My Lights/lumination on my dash didnt work anymore at night and couldnt see my speed. I had to manually turn on my head lights. Taking a dash apart is annoying but I finally got it done and it worked. With the automatic stuff and can see everything again for my 06 HHR

Concur with earlier review. Amazon fit originally sent the wrong one; 4 pin. Beware, 4 pins, on my 03 Sierra are for automatic ac controls. Mine are manual, therefore, two pins is what i needed. The second sensor (2 pin) works just fine.

Fit my 2003 Silverado HD 2500, It is a 2 wire sensor. Amazon make sure it fits said it wouldn't & sent me to a 4 wire version. make sure you check sensor before ordering.

Double check which your vehicle requires. Stated it fit my vehicle, but it didn't. Quick and easy purchase and simple return. 4 star as the product appears to be quality, it's an authentic GM product
